Colchester Chess Club meets at the Belle Vue Social Club on Wednesdays from 7pm to enjoy chess in a competitive but friendly atmosphere. The club aims are to promote chess in the community and to play competitively in the local leagues.
Affiliated to the English Chess Federation, the club has teams playing in the North Essex Chess League. Further details and fixtures (NECL website).
New members welcome. Contact Clive Bellinger (Club Secretary) on 01206 729706 or simply turn up. After a trial period, members pay an annual fee and in addition become members of the Belle Vue Social Club.
